The Digital Thai Temples Project aims to create multimedia material on Thai temples, particularly the temples of Bangkok. This is both for the purposes of preservation and for education. We hope to build up a library of content that educators and enthusiasts can use to learn about Thai history and Buddhism, and also materials which can act as digital preservation of these important cultural artefacts.

The Project is currently based at Pridi Banomyong International College, a division of Thammasart University in Bangkok. The project is run by Dr. Paul Lewis McBain, a lecturer at Thammasart who has a particular interest in Buddhism of the nineteenth century and Dr. Marcus Bingenheimer, a professor at Temple University in Philadelphia who specialises in Buddhism and cultural preservation and digital humanities.
